Saini shines

NEW DELHI: Nitin Saini’s half-century guided RP Academy to a 102-run win over South Delhi Colts in the Laxman Dass Chhabra Memorial cricket tournament at the St. Stephen’s College ground here on Tuesday.

The victory took RP Academy to the quarterfinals.

The scores: RP Academy 227 for nine in 40 overs (Nitin Saini 60, Sandeep Tyagi 46 n.o., Manik Tandon 30, Khushnoor Ahmad three for 35) bt South Delhi Colts 125 in 25.5 overs (Harpreet Singh 32, Shivakant Shukla 25, Arshad Masih three for 22, Pawan Kumar three for 20).
