165 file nominations

CHENNAI: On Monday, the third day for filing nominations for Lok Sabha elections, 165 persons filed their papers, according to a release issued by the Chief Electoral Officer.

A total of 217 nominations have been filed so far. Candidates of the AIADMK-led alliance, barring MDMK general secretary Vaiko and CPI candidate for Nagapattinam constituency, M.Selvarasu, filed their nominations on Monday. Mr.Vaiko will file his nomination on April 23 and Mr.Selvarasu on April 22. — Staff Reporter
