Cyber crime
G.K.D. Matriculation Higher Secondary School organised an awareness programme for students and parents on cyber crime. S.N. Ravichandran, Managing Director, Nilgris Chemical Stoneware, spoke about the use and abuse of cell phones and computers.
He asked parents and teachers to create awareness among students and to be a role model for them.
Prasanna Radhakrishnan, principal of the school, gave examples of misuse of the cell phones.
Books given
The National Service Scheme unit of the Home Science Department, Avinashilingam University, organised a meeting to distribute note books and bags to school students.
T.K. Shanmuganandam, Chancellor of the University, spoke about the importance of education. Vice-Chancellor Saroja Prabhakaran and N.V. Krishnan, president of Masonic Lodge, spoke.
