Teach AIADMK a lesson: Veeramani

CHENNAI: The Dravida Kazhagam on Friday urged voters to teach the AIADMK a lesson in the polls for its decision to scrap the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project if voted to power at the Centre.

Referring to the AIADMK election manifesto, DK president K.Veeramani stated in a press release that it was AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa who had been demanding implementation of the project. Due to the Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s effort, Rs.2,450 crore had been spent so far on the project. Its completion had been delayed due to a case filed by Ms. Jayalalithaa in the Supreme Court.
