Average age of candidates is 47

BANGALORE: The average age of all candidates contesting the Lok Sahba elections in Karnataka is 47. The average age of members of the 14th Lok Sabha was 52.63. D.R. Venkatesh Gowda, an independent contesting from Bangalore Central is the oldest (82) among all candidates. Among the political parties, K.H. Hanume Gowda (78) of the Bharatiya Janata Party is the oldest. — Special Correspondent
