VCDs/DVDs seized

The Crime Branch CID police have seized about 65,000 VCDs/DVDs containing pirated versions of latest Tamil, Hindi, English and obscene movies from a godown at Tiruvottriyur on Friday.

According to police sources, the police raided the godown on the Ayyappan Temple Street following a tip-off. A colour printer used to print wrappers was also seized. The cost of the seizure was put at Rs. 2 crore. Senthilkumar (23) who was arrested told police that the consignment was meant for supply to various districts in the State.
