Jewels, cash stolen

Burglars broke into a house in Korukkupet and decamped with 10 sovereigns of gold jewellery, 2 kg of silver utensils and some cash on Thursday evening.

Police said Saravanan (30), a Civil Engineer in a private firm, returned home after work and saw the front door open. The valuables kept in the almirah were missing.

The Washermenpet police have registered a case.
