‘Heritage Hunt’ in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Celebrating the heritage of Namma Bengaluru, a “Heritage Hunt” is being organised on Saturday in the city to enable the history lovers and residents to seek out the little known and big known secrets of the city.

The event is organised on the occasion of World Heritage Day by the Bangalore City Project (BCP) in association with Archaeological Survey of India, Bangalore Circle, Department of Kannada and Culture, Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan and other organisations. It is an all-day event which was intended to be commemorative of the city’s rich heritage and it starts from three locations — Gavipuram, Malleswaram and Whitefield, said a press release.

Entrance to Bull Temple, Basavanagudi, is the starting point for the hunt beginning from Gavipuram. Entrance (Gate 2) to St. Peter’s Seminary, 8th Main, Malleswaram, and the entrance to the Whitefield Club, off the Whitefield Main Road, are the starting points from Malleswaram and Whitefield respectively. The programmes are open to all.

A “Heritage Hunt” map could be obtained for Rs. 50. All registered participants might get a surprise, while a special gift would be presented to the team which solves all clues, and would be successful to first crack the hunt.
