BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has conveyed to Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram that the State Director-General and Inspector-General of Police is in touch with the commander of the anti-terrorist force and will work out the arrangements and procedures for deploying the force in the event of an emergency. Replying to a letter written to him recently by the Union Home Minister on a full-fledged anti-terrorist force being provided to Karnataka, the Chief Minister said that the State is disappointed that the Union Government has ignored its plea for stationing a unit of the National Security Guard here. “Anyway it is comforting to know that an anti-terrorist force is available here for deployment at short notice. I thank you for the personal interest taken in enhancing the security level of Bangalore,” he has said.
