TIRUCHI: College students should develop soft skills, which would help them in their career in the long run, A.K. Pattabiraman, Head, Accreditation Process for Southern India, TCS, Chennai said on Saturday. Speaking at the College Day celebrations at the M.A.M. College of Engineering near here, Mr. Pattabiraman exhorted college students to have a goal in their life and constantly strive to update their knowledge. Stating that it was essential to accept and adapt oneself to the changing environment, he called upon the students to face challenges in their life boldly. Talents were abound among students, he said adding that they should realise their inherent strengths and try to enhance their skills. Developing soft skills would enable students to find a placement and elevate them in the organisation they work, he said. Prof. S. Sathikh, former Vice Chancellor of University of Madras, appreciated the institution for its achievements in the educational front. The secretary and correspondent of the College Mohamed Nizam, its Director Dr. V. Shanmuganathan were present. Prizes were distributed to academic toppers on the occasion.
