TIRUCHI: The Janata Dal (Secular), Tiruchi district has urged law enforcers to take stern action against those found selling lottery tickets, the sale of which has been banned, in the city keeping in mind the welfare of the people. A resolution to this effect was adopted at the party’s urban district functionaries meeting held in the city on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by the party’s urban district youth wing president N. Sethuraman. Party’s State general secretary K. John Kumar and other members took part. By another resolution, it decided to work for the victory of the AIADMK-led alliance during the ensuing Parliamentary elections.
