Siriajji dead

Chitradurga: Siriajji, noted folksinger and Nadoja and Rajyotsava award winner, died in Challakere taluk of the district on Thursday after prolonged illness. She was 100. Siriajji, in spite of having no formal education, had memorised a large number of folksongs. She used to sing songs for every occasion. Recognising Siriajji’s talent, the Government and several organisations had felicitated .
