Property tax collection

The property tax collection in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation in 2008-09 stood at 91.23 per cent. Terming the realization as good, Commissioner B. Sridhar said the Rs.66.88 crores paid against a demand of Rs.73.31 crores compared favourably with the 56.47 crores (88 per cent) against a demand of Rs.64.52 crores in 2007-08. He congratulated the officials and the staff for the achievement.
