PALAKURTHY (WARANGAL DT.): A day after being humiliated by the supporters of rebel TDP leader N. Sudhakar Rao, the situation in Palakurthy constituency turned in favour of official nominee Errabelli Dayakar Rao. Three Congress leaders joined the TDP and Mr. Sudhakar Rao too agreed to withdraw his nomination and extend support to Mr. Dayakar Rao after a reported phone call from party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday. Mr. Dayakar Rao made a whirlwind tour of villages in Devaruppula mandal newly imbibed into Palakurthy constituency and got tremendous response all the way. “I am a three-time MLA. Believe in me and vote for me. I will bring unexpected development and change your lives,” he told the cheering crowds en route. Mr. Rao went from door-to-door in Ramrajupalli, Singarajupalli, Banjara, Chinnamadur and addressed street corner meetings. Overwhelmed by public response, he chose to travel on an open top vehicle and mostly preferred to walk with local party workers. He however, cut short his campaign on being summoned by Mr. Naidu and headed for Hyderabad to meet N. Sudhakar Rao.
