Shinde to contest from Solapur

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Tuesday announced candidates for six more seats in Maharashtra.
The list included the candidatures of Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde from Solapur and sitting member Gurudas Kamat from Mumbai North-West.
Other candidates
The other candidates are Kalyan Kale (Jalna), Uttam Singh Pawar (Aurangabad), the former Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Nirupam (Mumbai North), and sitting member Pratik Prakash Patil (Sangli).
The Congress is contesting in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party. A decision on three of the 26 candidates is pending.
The three seats are Palghar, Latur and Shiridi. In Shiridi the party plans to field sitting member Ramdas Athawale.
