Over 400 students get diplomas

VELLORE: Moosa Raza, Chairman, Southern India Education Trust (SIET), Chennai, and former Chief Secretary to the government of Jammu and Kashmir, distributed diplomas to 418 graduates at the 34th Investiture of C. Abdul Hakeem College in Melvisharam on Sunday.

He told the students not to forget their alma mater, especially teachers and the management, even when they go places in their life. He exhorted them to concentrate on achieving their goals. He recalled the vision of college founder C. Abdul Hakeem in providing education to the downtrodden and to those from all communities.

S. Ziauddeen Ahmed, General Secretary, Melvisharam Muslim Education Society (MMES), Nisar Ahmed, president, MMES, S.Z. Abrar Ahmed, joint secretary, MMES, and correspondent of the college, participated in the function. S. Mohammed Yousuff, principal, presided.
