‘Ensure poll code compliance’

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Zutshi on Saturday called upon the district and police officers across the State to ensure strict compliance with the model code of conduct now in force for the Lok Sabha elections and make foolproof arrangements for voting in accordance with the Election Commission’s guidelines.

Addressing a meeting of officers involved in election-related works in Jodhpur, Mr. Zutshi said maintenance of law and order during the polls and ensuring casting of votes by all sections of society without fear or intimidation would lead to success of the election process. District Election Officers of Jodhpur division, senior police officers and Election Department officials attended the meeting.
