Guidelines for polls issued

‘Parties can paste posters and publicity material only after the necessary approval’
CHANDIGARH: Panchkula District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner Rajender Kataria on Saturday issued guidelines to political parties regarding display of hoardings and posters for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
Mr. Kataria said all political parties would be allowed to organise public meetings and rallies at the prescribed places and they could paste posters and publicity material only after the approval of the district administration.
Meanwhile, a helpline has been launched for voters in the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency to access important information on telephone and mobile besides a touch-screen service installed on the main gate of the Mini Secretariat in Kurukshetra.
Kurukshetra District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Aggarwal disclosed that information about voter serial number, voting centre, photo identity card number could also be accessed on telephone (222890 and 222899) or through SMS on mobile number 94169-13297. This information is also available on the website www.ceoharyana.nic.in
