Congress announces list for Orissa

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Saturday announced its candidates for 16 of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Orissa. In the case of the two lone seats it won in the 14th Lok Sabha, the party has decided to go along with its sitting members — Chandra Sekhar Sahu in Berhampur and Giridhar Gomang in Koraput.

The list includes three former Union Ministers: Srikant Jena in Balasore, Bhakta Charan Das in Kalahandi and Ramachandra Rath in Aska. Also two former MPs : Ananta Prasad Sethi in Bhadrak and Ranjib Biswal in Kendrapara.

Three former Ministers in the State have also been given ticket: Sriballabh Panigrahi in Sambalpur, Narasingh Mishra in Bolangir and B. Prasad Harichandan in Puri.

Others are Sanjay Bhoi in Bargarh, Dhananjay Sidhu in Keonjhar, Amiya Mallick in Jajpur, Bibhuti Bhushan Mishra in Cuttack, Rabindra Kumar Sethi in Jagatsinghpur and Santosh Kumar Mohanti in Bhubaneshwar.
