It’s a Ramkumar show all the way

DINDIGUL: S. Ramkumar’s all-round effort (110 and three for 40) was the highlight of GTN Arts Colleges 24-run win over RVS Polytechnic in the Dindigul District Cricket Association inter-collegiate league for the RVS Trophy here on Saturday.

The scores: (league): GTN Arts College 198 for six in 25 overs (S. Ramkumar 110, M. Vinoth 45, V. Balamurugan three for 25) bt RVS Polytechnic College 174 for seven in 25 overs (Rajkumar 67, P. Krishnamurthy three for 44, S. Ramkumar three for 40); PVP College 123 for seven in 25 overs (S. Mohan 34, P. Gopikrishnan 26, P. Kathirvel three for 28, A. Vinoth three for 13) lost to RVS CET 124 for four in 22.5 overs (G. Sathish Kumar 45).

RLI makes merry

At Madurai, R.L. Institute blanked Madurai Medical College 3-0 in the Madurai District Football Association B division league for the Hi-tech Arai Trophy on Saturday.

The results: R.L. Institute 3 (Desikan, Samad, Deepak) bt Madurai Medical College 0; Pandiyan Saraswathy Yadava EC 0 drew with Victoria FC 0; High Court FC 2 (Muthukumar 2) bt Pandiyan Saraswathy Yadava EC 0.

Santhosh scores

At Udaghamandalam, a solo effort by Santhosh in the 12th minute enabled Union FC score a 1-0 win over XI Stars Football Club in the NDFA-Sterling Biotech first division football league on Saturday.

Earlier, Sri Krishna Sports Club held TN Home Guards to a 1-1 draw. Rashid opened for Home Guards in the 30th minute and Ranjith Kumar equalised in the 35th minute.

Nehru Premier League

At Coimbatore, the SNV Alumni Association will conduct the Nehru Premier League cricket tournament for the registered alumni members at the Shri Nehru Vidyalaya MHSS grounds on March 15.
