BANGALORE: Southern Blues snatched its first win in four matches with a 2-1 verdict over LRDE in the Super Division football league fixture for the George Hoover Cup, at the football stadium here on Saturday. LRDE took the lead in the 15th minute through Shiv Kumar. Southern Blues drew parity in the 34th minute through Arnold. Midway in the second session Suji Kumar struck the match winner. While Southern Blues had lost all its three previous matches, albeit by narrow margins, LRDE has had a mixed run thus far having lost one, won one and drawn one. ISRO garnered full points in the ‘A’ division league with a solitary goal win over Government Press. Suman netted the winner in the 51st minute. Summer campThe SAI South Centre will be conducting its annual summer coaching camp from April 1 in 12 disciplines: athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, gymnastics, kho-kho/kabaddi, tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball. While swimming will be conducted in three camps of 21 days each, badminton and tennis will be a month long camp while all the other events will be held for two months. Those desirous of joining the camp can register their names from March 23 onwards on all working days, with two recent photographs and a medical fitness certificate from family doctors.
