Meet on World Kidney Day

HYDERABAD: A walk, a quiz and a symposium on kidney will be organised on March 12, 13 and 14 to mark the World Kidney Day during the Fourth National Congress of Indian Stroke Association being organised by the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences’ Department of Neurology.

A. Gopal Kishan, president of the association, told a press conference here on Tuesday that the walk, from Charminar to Osmania Hospital, would be flagged off by Lt.-Gen. I. J. Singh at 8 a.m. on March 12.

It would be followed by a quiz on ‘Kidney for all medical post-graduate students’ at Gandhi Medical College. The two-day Congress would be organised at Taj Krishna on March 14 and 15.

He said on March 13 there would be a quiz on ‘Know your kid.neys for post-graduates of Board Speciality from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Osmania Hospital and a symposium on ‘Cadaver kidney transplant’ at Central Court.
