NEW DELHI: RAINFALL: Weather was mainly dry over the region.
TEMPERATURE: MAXIMUM: The maximum temperatures fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 35.1°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).
MINIMUM: The minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan, fell in Haryana and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 07.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab) and Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh .
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 11th March 2009:
Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. After 24 hours weather will be mainly dry over the region.
