Infrastructure ready

KOLKATA: The Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) is all ready with the infrastructure to host the 34th National Games from June 1 to 14. This was revealed by the organising secretary of the Games, S.M. Hashmi, here at a news conference on Monday.

The National Games has missed its deadline twice in the last three months. Mr. Hashmi, who is also the secretary of the JOA, informed that the stadiums in three venues Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad are ready.

Among the three venues, capital Ranchi will host 23 events, Dhanbad six and Jamshedpur four events, he added. The secretary said that a total of Rs. 1000 crore has been spent on developing the infrastructure. — Principal Correspondent.
