6 INLD members suspended from Assembly
Chandigarh: Six members of the Opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) were suspended from the Haryana Assembly on Thursday when they disrupted the proceedings during a discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address.
The INLD members earlier in the day abstained from the proceedings and came to the House only after the discussion resumed.
These members were, however, not joined by two legislators of their alliance partner, the BJP, in their protest.
When Speaker Raghbir Singh Kadian called Tejinder Pal Mann (Congress) to speak, the INLD members disrupted him. Sushil Indora and Rampal Chidana, both of the INLD, had spoken for a total of 73 minutes, Mr. Kadian said adding all 90 members had to be given time equally. — PTI
