HYDERABAD: Mayor of Invercargill Tim Shadbolt, from New Zealand, on a visit to city to promote his country as “best destination” for Indian students and immigrants, has come out with a catchy promotion tag -- “Migrate to New Zealand for a relaxed, healthy and stress-free lifestyle”.

After witnessing traffic in Hyderabad on Saturday, Mr. Shadbolt felt this was the best line to tempt citizens to the scantily-populated New Zealand.

“We desperately want people to inhabit our land. We are bigger than UK and Japan, but our population is only five million.

“We want students, skilled personnel and professionals from every field,” he told The Hindu.

Later, addressing a select gathering, Mr. Shadbolt said students after their graduation were getting 100 per cent job placements there.

Mr. Arun Jacob of Arrayglobe.com announced the launch of India’s first educational portal Arrayglobe.com to help students going to New Zealand for undergraduate and post–graduate studies.
