India, Maldives to jointly counter sea-borne terror

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: India and Maldives will work together to meet the threat of sea-borne terrorism, and enhance training and joint exercises. There is a convergence of view that both countries have a joint interest in the security of sea lanes.

The decisions were taken at a meeting between Defence Ministers A.K. Antony and Ameen Faisal, here on Tuesday.

Mr. Faisal is leading an eight-member delegation on a visit to India.
