TIRUCHI: A 75-year-old man was run over by a passenger train between Elamanur and Mutharasanallur in the Tiruchi – Erode broad gauge section on Friday. The Government Railway Police identified the victim as M. Periasamy of Anna Nagar, Kuzhumani. The Government Railway Police, Tiruchi have registered a case and are investigating. In another incident, a body of a man was found on the railway track between Tamaraipaadi and Ayyalur in the Tiruchi – Dindigul broad gauge section on Friday. The identity of the deceased, aged about 30 years, is yet to be established. Railway Police sources said the man was run over by a train. The Government Railway Police, Tiruchi are investigating.
