District Collector, V. Palanikumar, has announced that on account of Thiruvalluvar Day, the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) run liquor shops and bars would remain closed on January 15. The closure order would be applicable to clubs functioning with FL II permits. In the event of non-compliance to the directive, criminal action would be initiated.
