Family get-together for convicts

PUDUCHERRY: The Jail Department is organising a family get-together for convicts here on Friday.

A total of 80 convicts will get a chance to interact with their family members.

Members belonging to the Lions Club will distribute sweets to the prisoners, Inspector-General of Police (in-charge of prisons) S. Vasudeva Rao said.

The programme is being organised to instil a positive outlook in the minds of prisoners.
