Competitions on January 22

TIRUCHI: The Vadakku Thathamangalam branch unit of the Tamil Nadu Science Forum and the Lions Club of Srirangam will jointly conduct various competitions on the topic ‘equitable education’ for the school and college students on January 22.

The competitions organised in connection with the fifth anniversary of the Vadakku Thathamangalam branch of the forum will be held in five centres in the district – Tiruchi city, Manachanallur, Manapparai, Lalgudi and Musiri.

Poetry competition will be conducted for the college students on the topic ‘money based education pattern’. While it will be essay writing competition for the students of classes XI and XII, it will be oratorical contest for the students of classes IX and X.

The forum will conduct painting contest for the students of classes VI – VIII.

The topic for all the three competitions for the school students is ‘change in teaching methodology: need for uniform education’.

All the competitions will be held from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. and prizes given for the top five winners, a press release said.
