Sandeep, Negi shine

NEW DELHI: Sandeep Yadav’s blistering half-century and N.S. Negi’s five-wicket haul helped Vidya Jain Academy beat R.P. Academy by 21 runs and entered the quarterfinals of the 13th Sahibzada Ajit Singh cricket tournament at the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College ground here on Monday.

The scores: Vidya Jain Academy 226 in 39.4 overs (Sandeep Yadav 85, Manu Kapoor 52) bt RP Academy 205 in 38.4 overs (Sachin Rana 51, N.S. Negi five for 24).
