Kakinada college overall champs

Kakinada: The students of V.S. Lakshmi Engineering College for Women won the overall team championship in the State-level engineering colleges’ youth festival `Colours’ held at Aditya Engineering College here recently by excelling in athletics.

P Rama Devi, K Santhi Priya, Y.V. Dhanalakshmi and PSV Kalavati wonfirst prize in 4X100 meters relay, P Rama Devi and K Santhi Priya won the second and third prizes in 100 meters running, K Santhi Priya and Y.V. Dhanalakshmi second and third prizes in 200 meters running, MDNL Sowjanya second prize in shot put, P Rama Devi third prize in long jump and Y.V. Dhanalakshmi third prize in high jump.

Chief executive officer of V.S. Lakshmi Engineering College for Women, V Sitarama Raju stated in a press release that students from about 75 engineering colleges took part in the event and expressed happiness that his students finished top.

College president V Sandhya and chief operating officer DJPN Reddy congratulated the winners and exhorted all the students to put up similar performance in all areas.
