Training to help them compete for recruitment tests

4,000 to be spent on each student

53,000 teacher posts under DSC

HYDERABAD: A month-long crash course will be conducted in February-March by the government for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and minorities to help them compete for various recruitments tests, mainly DSC-2009, and secure jobs.

The government will spend Rs. 4,000 on each student selected for the course out of which Rs. 2,500 will be for his expenses and the balance will go to the coaching centre.

Chief Minister Y. S . Rajasekhara Reddy, who took the decision to offer crash course to the weaker sections at a meeting on Monday, held the view that the students of these social groups would be able to compete not only the 53,000 teacher posts notified under DSC-2009, but also other jobs covered by backlog vacancies. V. Nagi Reddy, Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, said that the course would be so comprehensive that the applicants could appear even for the Group I & II exams.
