CID to go after middle management
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Police, which is probing the huge scam in the Satyam Computers, is focussing its attention on middle management that handled preparation of financial statements and accounts.
Having taken into custody three top executives, the CID appears to be eyeing on management at the middle level which provided the logistics support in the fraud. That was one reason why the arrest of another top manager who was prominently tipped for arrest held back, sources said.
Studying records
A senior CID official told The Hindu that the investigation was being taken up to systematically link up the evidence that was gathered. He said the process was time consuming as a huge heap of documents and records that were seized had to be studied. He added that there were no further searches on Monday.
