Charge sheet

PANAJI: The Calangute police on Monday filed a charge sheet in the Goa Children’s Court against Rohit Monserrate, elder son of Education Minister Atanasio Monserrate, in the case of rape of a German minor. Rohit has been accused of sexually assaulting and raping the minor girl in September 2008, according to the charge sheet filed on a directive by the Panaji Bench of the Bombay High Court last week. The court took suo motu cognisance of the case after it found that the police had failed to act swiftly and impartially.
