Students caught

BANGALORE: Two students from Rajarajeshwari Medical College have been caught receiving answers through text messages on their mobile phones. These students were appearing for the first semester supplementary examination at the Bangalore Medical College.
The invigilator caught the students receiving SMS with detailed answers, and answers kept coming in even after they were caught, sources told The Hindu.
This incident of malpractice, it was said, has been reported to the office of the registrar of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. As per examination rules, students are not allowed to carry mobile phones into the examination hall.
When contacted, G.T. Subhash, dean of Bangalore Medical College, said that the university and colleges were strict about such cases, and action would be taken by authorities.
The students may be debarred, he added.
