THANJAVUR: One person was allegedly killed in a brawl here on Saturday. According to the police, a group of four persons had a brawl in an inebriated condition before Oriental Towers hotel. It is alleged that when one person fell down two other persons threw a big stone on him. The person died on the spot. The two hit another on his head with the stone. The injured was taken to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital. According to S. Ilambaruthi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, identity of the person killed is yet to be ascertained. As the injured person is unconscious, police are waiting to begin their investigations. No one was arrested.
