KOZHIKODE: Rail passengers have demanded a stop for trains, 6527\6528 Kannur-Yeswantpur and 2685\2686 Mangalore-Chennai, at Kuttippuram in Malappuram district. Train Passengers Association’s Kuttippuram secretary E. Shejith said that the stop would benefit many from Malappuram and Thrissur. The Railways had earlier announced that the train would be given a halt at Kuttippuram. He said that a lobby of private bus owners were working against the allocation of this stop. —Staff Reporter
