CHENNAI: The ‘FIFA World Player Gala 2008’ will be telecast live by ESPN STAR on January 13 from 00.30 hours (repeat telecast at 21.00 hours).

Five men (Kaka, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and Xavi) and five women (Nadine Agnerer, Critiane, Marta, Birgit Prinz and Kelly Smith) are vying for the pride of place in each category.
