One more held in Noida rape case
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The Noida police have arrested one more accused in connection with the alleged criminal assault on an MBA student by a group of ten young men earlier this week. Seven accused have been arrested so far.
Anil Yadav (22) was held at the Sadarpur bus stand on Thursday evening.
“We have seized a debit card and a ring of the victim from his possession. It will be produced as evidence in court. The remaining three accused will also be arrested soon,” said SP (Noida City) Ashok Tripathi.
The MBA student was returning to her south Delhi home in a car along with her friend after shopping in Noida when the young men on motorcycles waylaid them. They drove the car to a secluded spot and allegedly took turns to assault the girl.
