Investment may be hit: BJP

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Satyam fraud should be investigated for all its ramifications covering other companies of the group as well as their political patrons, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said here on Thursday.

What happened was not only a blot on the corporate sector but could also adversely affect foreign investment in Indian companies. The investment climate in India was bound to suffer, BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

Mr. Prasad wanted to know what the Company Affairs Minister was doing. He also alleged failure on the part of the Securities and Exchange Board of India in its regulatory work.
