EVMs, materials moved to polling stations

MADURAI: The stage is set for polling in the Thirumangalam Assembly constituency, which is going to polls on Friday. id tight security, eleconic voting machines and other polling material were moved from the taluk office to respective polling stations on Thursday.

Officials said for all the 190 polling stations, two sets of ballot units and a control unit along with poll materials such as ink were moved after 11 a.m. District Collector P. Seetharaman and a team of officers designated for poll duty supervised the arrangements. There are about 1.55 lakh voters in Thirumangalam constituency. Voting begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
