600 held for blocking traffic

CHENNAI: Nearly 600 persons, including women, were taken into custody for resorting to a road blockade at Saidapet on Thursday.

Led by Tamizhar Desiya Iyakkam leader P. Nedumaran and Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam leader Anur Jagadeesan, the agitators raised slogans against the Centre for aiding the Sri Lankan Army.
