62-year-old man arrested for fraud

CHENNAI: A 62-year-old man who took Rs. 2 lakh from a youth after promising him a job in the Railways was arrested here on Thursday.
Police said that Prabhakaran of Kottivakam had taken the money from Suresh Kumar (30) of Sowcarpet assuring him a good job.
However, he neither arranged for the job nor returned the money.
Based on a complaint, the Elephant Gate police arrested Prabhakaran and recovered Rs. 1.62 lakh from him.
The accused was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody, the police added.
