CHENNAI: Tejasvi Ravi, a third year B. Com student of Stella Maris College, has been selected to attend the University Presidential Inaugural Conference (UPIC), which will be held in Washington D.C. from January 17 to 21.

Based on her performance at the 12-day Global Young Leaders Conference that was held in June 2007 at Washington and New York and her Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores, she has been invited to participate in the pageantry of the installation of the President and Vice-President of United States.

The four-day conference will comprise seminars and workshops by experts in different fields from across the globe. The participants will witness the swearing-in ceremony and inaugural parade of the President and the Vice-President. “This experience will give me international exposure and perspective. Various speakers of eminence will line-up to give us an idea about the political and elective system of U.S,” said Tejasvi Ravi.
