PATHANAMTHITTA: Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) State general secretary M.M. Lawrence has called upon the Union government to take immediate steps to bring an end to the lorry strike through constructive dialogues. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Lawrence alleged that the delay in reducing the price of petroleum products was part of a dubious design to protect the commercial interests of various oil companies. The CITU leader also warned of an imminent economic recession in India K.C. Rajagopalan, MLA; K.O. Habeeb, CITU State vice-president and P.J. Ajayakumar, district president, were also present.
