KADAPA: Commissioner of Rural Development Santha Kumari on Thursday warned of stringent action against the officials concerned if funds granted for rural development were misused. Ms. Santha Kumari inspected the Comprehensive Land Development Programme works taken up under A.P. Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in Brahmamgari Matham. She warned of action against supervising officials and to recover demurrage from the contractors if developmental works were below the stipulated standards. Complacency in completing works would not be tolerated, she cautioned. The Rural Development Commissioner visited Sri Veera Brahmendra Swamy temple at Brahmamgari Matham and offered prayers. Temple executive officer K. Penchalaiah and priests welcomed her with temple honours. APREGS project officer Venkatasubbaiah, B. Matham mandal development officer Sivaprasad and field assistants participated.
