PANAJI: In a recent ruling, the Goa State Information Commission (GSIC) has directed the State Under Secretary (Personnel), a public information officer (PIO),to give information to an applicant pertaining to State Chief Secretary. The information pertained to his annual property returns, log books of vehicles used by him, his promotion to a post outside Goa and his continuation in Goa, to the applicant within 10 days. ‘Part information’The ruling came in an appeal filed by Sanyogita Kashinath Shetye who had sought certain information about the Chief Secretary earlier under the Right to Information Act but was given “part information” by the PIO in August last.
