BANGALORE: A book fair with over 5,000 titles covering social sciences and humanities is being organised by Christ University and Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram at the DVK Auditorium on the university premises in the city. The fair, which will end on Friday, is part of the seventh International Whitehead Conference. Publishers participating in the fair include Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Sage, Routledge, Viva, Orient Blackswan, Marg, Motilal Banarsidass and Asian Trading Corporation. There will be a discount of 15 per cent on all purchases. Handicrafts exhibitionHandicrafts exhibition is also being organised as part of the conference by the Postgraduate Department of Philosophy, Christ University, and the Faculty of Philosophy, Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram. Scholars working on the process philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead, mathematician, scientist, and philosopher, are participating in it. Scholars from 100 universities and 20 countries, including Belgium, the U.S., Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Korea, and Japan, are participating in the conference.
